Powerline Financial Services Agreement & Disclosure
Recent regulations governing 24 hour banking equipment and other electronically initiated banking transactions require that we provide you with a full disclosure of the rules as they now apply. The purpose of this disclosure statement is to make you aware of your rights and responsibilities when using our Online Electronic Services. By signing a membership application or completing and transmitting, mailing or faxing a written or online account authorization form for the online banking service, you agree to the following terms governing your/our rights and responsibilities concerning the Online Financial Services. This is the Agreement that governs your access to online Credit Union financial services. The term "Powerline" refers to Edco Federal C.U. Online Financial Services. Our business days are Monday through Friday. Holidays are not included.
POWERLINE ONLINE FINANCIAL SERVICES
This Powerline Agreement is between Edco Federal Credit Union (hereinafter “us”or “Credit Union”), and each member who has enrolled in our Powerline Online Financial Service, and with any person who has been authorized by a member to use or access their online service.
Transactions involving your deposit accounts will be subject to the terms of your membership and account agreement and transactions involving a line of credit account will be subject to your loan agreement and disclosures, as applicable.
Powerline is an additional “electronic” service provided to increase the convenience of accessing accounts for our members. You understand that by signing an application, completing and submitting an application online, using or continuing to use these services, you agree to the terms and conditions of this Agreement.
You warrant and agree that you will not use Credit Union accounts or services, including but not limited to loans, to make or facilitate any illegal transaction(s) as determined by applicable law; and that any such use, including any such authorized use, will constitute an event of default under this agreement. You agree that the Credit Union will not have any liability or responsibility whatsoever for any such use by you or any authorized user(s). You further agree to indemnify and hold the Credit Union harmless from any suits, liability, damages or adverse action of any kind that results directly or indirectly from such illegal use. Edco Federal Credit Union does not make any warranty, express or implied, to you regarding Powerline software programs including but not limited to any warranty of merchantability or fitness for a particular purpose.
ACCOUNT INFORMATION
We will maintain the confidentiality and privacy of your account information in accordance with our Privacy Policy as stated on our web site as well as in our Privacy Disclosure Statement. EQUIPMENT AND SOFTWARE REQUIREMENTS
To use Powerline, you will need a computer with a modem and a web browser, such as Netscape Navigator®, Microsoft Internet Explorer® or an equivalent. You are responsible for the set-up and maintenance of your home computer and modem.
The following PC system requirements are required to use Powerline:
PC with Windows 95® or greater
Microsoft Internet 4.01 or higher
Or Netscape Navigator® 4.0 or higher
Or Macintosh with Netscape Navigator® 4.5 or higher
We are not responsible for any foreseen acts or circumstances or malfunction of your computer equipment or any system you use including any software in any way including for interruptions and access to the service. We will not be liable under any legal or equitable theory including contract, tort or otherwise to you or any other person for any indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages of any character including but not limited to damages for loss of good will, loss of use, data or profits, work stoppage, computer failure or malfunction, or any other commercial damages or losses. Nor are we responsible for any computer viruses you may encounter.
